LIGHT 25: Understanding

LIGHT 25: Understanding

LIGHT 25: Understanding

Collapse reactions still remained in many places.

But there was no longer the violent expansion seen in the previous record.

The boundary light covering the sealed zone trembled faintly, yet the waves of collapse had clearly slowed. The sealing lines deployed in the distance remained intact, and the reverse flow of white particles was beginning to turn intermittent.

Lumira still lay on the stone floor, unable to wake.

Only the marking left on her arm continued to pulse with a quiet rhythm.

Elia did not leave her side.

She extended a thin thread of white light and began connecting the closing fragments of record, one by one.

It is not over yet.

Her gaze returned to Lumira again and again.

But the marking would not stop.

Inside the marking, countless fragments drifted.

Broken images.

Eroded words.

Interrupted traces.

Until now, they had looked like meaningless pieces. But as the marking stabilized, they slowly began to connect.

Each time the white line pulsed, the fragments changed position.

Records that had been far apart were drawn toward one another.

Before long, several images aligned in sequence and formed a single flow.

Within it were records of those who had existed in the past.

Elia could not tell who had left them behind.

But they, too, had moved through collapse reactions and visited the record points left across different places.

White light connected point to point.

The order of their actions.

The paths they took.

The places they reached.

The lost flow was slowly being restored.

This is not coincidence.

Elia continued following the records as they surfaced.

Meanwhile, deep inside the sealed zone, Lumira’s shadow kept moving forward.

It slid across the floor where faint collapse reactions still remained.

The shadow did not hesitate.

It did not turn. It did not stop. It moved straight toward the depths.

At last, it reached a place near the deepest part.

A record point no one had ever reached.

The moment the shadow stepped into that place, the marking on Lumira’s arm pulsed strongly.

White particles spread into the air.

Light sleeping in the depths of the sealed zone responded.

A sealed record was newly revealed.

The broken images connected.

Elia watched the change as if holding her breath.

There, she learned that the beings of the past had repeated the same choice again and again.

The ages were different.

The records were incomplete.

Even so, the final place they reached was always the same.

They had all gone toward the same point.

They had all been inside the same flow.

Why does it become the same?

Elia continued following the record.

Then a new fact surfaced.

Erosion was not the disappearance of existence.

Even when records were lost, something continued beyond them.

Traces vanished.

Names were lost.

But the flow itself had not ended.

As the analysis continued, Elia began to see that collapse and erosion were separate phenomena.

Collapse was an abnormality that appeared in space.

But erosion was different.

It acted upon records themselves.

They seemed similar, yet their nature was not the same.

I can see it.

It was still fragmented, but it was certainly beginning to connect.

As that understanding deepened, the guardians began to react.

The markings of the guardians maintaining the distant seals changed.

Several guardians turned their gaze toward the record domain.

Then part of the record began trying to close again.

Elia observed the change.

The guardians had known.

They had reached this same truth before.

That was why they had sealed the records.

Over a long span of time.

Again and again.

In the same way.

They had hidden it.

Only that fact remained quietly behind.

But this time, the records would not fully close.

The marking continued to respond.

Deep within the sealed zone, the shadow moved farther ahead.

As it advanced, more records continued to open.

At the same time, collapse reactions in each area weakened.

The trembling boundary light settled.

The shrinking of stable zones slowed.

The flow of white particles grew calm.

It looked as though something had begun to align.

The collapse is weakening.

Elia checked the reactions arriving from each place.

They were not numbers.

The flow of light itself had begun to change.

Then the marking on Lumira’s arm changed as well.

The pulse that had been irregular became steady.

The wavering disappeared.

The white line began marking a quiet, stable rhythm.

At last, it has settled.

But there was no relief.

Along with that change, even more records were restored.

Lost fragments recovered their forms.

Parts that had been eroded began to fill in.

From within them, one record surfaced.

It was the final record of the beings from the past.

The image was unclear.

Details were missing.

Still, it was enough.

Elia followed its contents.

What had happened after erosion?

What had remained?

What had continued?

Her gaze did not leave the record.

And understanding began to connect.

What she had believed to be loss.

What she had believed to be an ending.

They were part of another flow.

Erosion had meaning.

It had a role different from collapse.

Its structure was beginning to appear, little by little.

It had not simply disappeared.

That recognition quietly took shape.

At the same time, in the deepest part of the sealed zone, Lumira’s shadow stopped.

It touched the final record left at its feet.

White light spread.

The sealed records connected all at once.

The closed path opened.

A new connection formed.

The shadow did not move.

It seemed to have been waiting.

Beyond it, a single domain appeared.

A place unlike any of the records before.

Farther in.

Deeper still.

A record domain that could only be reached through understanding erosion.

Elia looked at its entrance.

She still knew nothing.

But she knew this much.

There was something beyond it.

Only the entrance stood open in silence.

Then Lumira’s finger, though she should have been asleep, moved slightly.

From within the open entrance, a white breath that was not hers returned.
