Lumi opens a huge “HALLOWEEN STUFF!” box, ready to decorate. But the decorations are a tangled mess, and Poffy gets wrapped up like a mummy! In the end, both are covered in cobwebs and bats, laughing at the chaos.
One chilly evening, when autumn had fully settled in, Lumi felt her heart flutter with excitement.
“It’s finally decorating time!”
She tore open the tape of a huge box marked boldly: HALLOWEEN STUFF!
Just seeing that label made her smile.
But the moment she peeked inside—
“…Uh-oh.”
Lights, cobwebs, and props were all tangled together like a giant spooky knot.
Maybe… maybe she hadn’t organized it as well as she remembered.
Before she could think further, fwump!
Little purple Poffy dove straight into the pile, disappearing into the mess.
When he popped back out, he was wrapped head to toe in webs and lights.
“Poffy!! You’re supposed to decorate the room, not yourself!”
Now he looked like a tiny monster mummy, blinking innocently.
Lumi reached to free him, but the decorations latched onto her too, winding around her arms and hair.
Soon, both girl and monster were hopelessly tangled.
“Kyaa—!!”
“Pipi—!!”
Every movement made the decorations rustle, fall, and flop everywhere.
But when their eyes met, something happened—
They both burst into laughter.
“…Maybe a little chaos is part of the fun.”
“Pipi!”
Covered in cobwebs and fake bats, they laughed until their cheeks hurt.
And in that moment, Lumi realized:
Sometimes the messiest moments are the most magical.
