Outside the window, the town lights flickered softly.
Each one seemed to know exactly what it was meant to be.

Lumi didn’t.
And tonight, that felt heavier than usual.

“I don’t know what kind of light I want to be,” she whispered.
The room didn’t answer.

She watched the steam rise from the mug.
It drifted, changed shape, disappeared.

No one told it where to go.
No one asked it to stay.

Lumi leaned back and let the silence sit beside her.
Not to fix anything.
Not to decide anything.

Maybe light didn’t need a shape yet.
Maybe it was allowed to just glow quietly, without a name.

Lumi held the mug a little closer.
